Description
As the symbol of immigration to the United States our Lady Liberty is pretty ashamed amd embarrassed these days, especially by the rhetoric of our new president elect. The plaque at the base of the Statue of Liberty reads: "Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

Powerful message, Phil. Saw your entry in the contest...you won my vote! This is exactly what I look like when I'm watching the news reports...humiliated, saddened and frightened! l/f
