When Yanne Proudfoot agreed to have her portrait painted she had no idea what she was getting into.......................after traveling by boat to a remote island she found herself in a face-off with a mysterious looking man wearing an eye-patch.........................She knew she could handle herself was not sure what to expect next.............The man stopped at the land end of the dock and waited silently.........Finally she cleared her throat, "Are you Van Caerndow," she inquired. He smiled and said, "At your service, it will be a joy and a challenge to paint you in that beautiful dress." and so they got to work . (October 2013)
