Buffalo Bill and Wild Phil

Medium
Painting - Pebeo Paint On Glass
Description
In 1984 I portrayed Wild Bill Hickok in a local production of a play titled "Indians". I had one pivotal scene with the actor who played the protagonist Buffalo Bill Cody............................................ The theme of the play was that no matter what Buffalo Bill tried to do to help the Indians he kept contributing to their ultimate demise .............................. A sad story indeed........ This of course fit in with my already strong love of the American west and even though I wasn't painting at this time I knew it was a scene I always wanted to create..................................... I used 14 shades of brown and tried to capture realistic reflections within the impressionism of my style.................................I hope you will enjoy looking at my other western paintings as well. I'd consider this my most successful self-portrait...................... (July 17, 2013)
. It's my 4th painting of Buffalo Bill and my second of Hickok. probably more to come.
