Phil, you’ve made “ FRUSTRATION” into a beautiful thing!! I don’t think I will ever be as angry with MY frustration again! As I, too, am facing old-Er eyes, losing long familiar stamina in the face of ever increasing challenges to perfectionist old tapes, this painting coupled with your description is very HEALING and FREEING! THANKS and Good luck! L/F

Phil Strang replied:

Laurel, thank you so much. Especially helpful at a time I have been struggling to paint at all.

Phil Strang replied:

Thank you Marcia, I threw a lot of emotion into this one.

I think this might make a good cover for a hard rock or metal band. Frustration. (May 2014)

Now he does a combination of Impressionistic painting on glass and acrylic abstracts on textured canvases, He has lived in Champaign-Urbana for the past 57 years and loves the flat peacefulness and constant change of the Midwest. He is most grateful for his two great kids and his wonderful wife, Mary. Besides painting, Phil has also played in bands doing...
