Shay's Secret Cave Canvas Print

My girlfriend had a vision of what she would like painted.......................................... I sketched it and played with the image and changed it.................................... I also knew of a secret underground river and decided to combine her vision with my dream.........................................A secret place where we could meet in our dreams and share our deepest thoughts and feelings..........................................., Some dark and hidden....................some bright and reflective..................A world growing and changing......................welcoming and foreboding at the same time..........................a place where we could visit just as our eyes were closing at night.....................painted May 2014............................................. Original is only 5" by 5" and I used the smallest brushes made.

Phil has been painting since Junior High school in New York, but only in the past twenty years has he developed a practice of painting on glass. He was doing mostly portraits of Second Life avatars and some of real life characters, then in the summer of 2014 he started experimenting with various types of splatter painting as two eye operations have made detailed work much harder. Now he does a combination of Impressionistic painting on glass and acrylic abstracts on textured canvases, He has lived in Champaign-Urbana for the past 57 years and loves the flat peacefulness and constant change of the Midwest.
