Description

Sister B is a very talented and creative writer who lives in Haven, in Second Life...................................... She commissioned me to do a second portrait after I told her that one was not enough for the various ideas I had after we did our photoshoot................................... The previous portrait was "Sister B and the Sorcerer's Stone" in which she is reading a Harry Potter book....................... I had not done any close-up portrait work for awhile and I thought her striking looks were perfect for a detailed head shot.....................One of the interesting aspects of this piece which you cannot see from the scan is that it was painted while the glass was still in the frame as the glass was glued in...............................I had never worked under those conditions but I liked the silver frame enough that I worked with it...............the main drawback being I could not bake the painting as I usually do with Pebeo paints...........................................As usual you may find my initials within the painting. (July 2014)
